Eastern Washington University is located in Cheney with small-town charm and big-city life near to Washington. It has some branch campuses located nearby in Bellevue, Everett, Seattle, Longview, and Vancouver. There is a Turnbull National Park next to the main campus in Cheney. Thanks to such location it one of only 3 universities with research facility in a national wildlife refuge. The University comprises 300 acres of parkland.
