TOEFL

TOEFL stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language and is one of the two most popular standardized English proficiency tests in the world. The TOEFL iBT Test is entirely academically focussed and lasts about 3 hours, with a 10-minute break. It directly measures your ability to communicate in English in a university environment.
The test is conveniently offered via 3 testing options:
1) TOEFL iBT test: test on a computer at a test center;
2) TOEFL iBT Home Edition: test on a computer at home;
3) TOEFL iBT Paper Edition: test in 2 sessions — Reading, Listening, and Writing on paper at a test center, and Speaking on a computer at home.

Test process:
The Reading section lasts between 54 and 72 minutes. You will be asked to read 3 or 4 passages from academic texts and answer 10 questions for each passage.
The Listening section lasts between 41 and 57 minutes. You will be asked to listen to lectures, classroom discussions and conversation and answer questions.
Break: 10 minutes.
The Speaking section lasts 17 minutes. You will be asked to express an opinion on a familiar topic and provide oral responses to reading and listening tasks.
The Writing section lasts 50 minutes. You will be asked to write responses to 2 writing tasks: an integrated writing task and an independent writing task.
The results of the test will be available in 6 to 13 days after your test.
