Description

Accademia Costume & Moda was established in 1964 by Rosana Pistolese who was a fashion historian and also a costume designer,fashion and costume writer with the patronage of the “Ministero del Lavoro e della Provvidenza Sociale”, the Municipality of Rome, ENALC and the “Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana”. It has two campuses, the first one is located in Rome, in the city centre in front of Castel S. Angelo and next to Piazza Navona. The Palace itself was designed in 1925 by the architect Vincenzo Fasolo. Student have lessons there in classes with big windows with a great view on the historic city centre. There are also tailoring and shooting labs, computer and multimedia classes.
In 2020 a new campus in Milan was opened. It is located in the centre of Milan near with Piazza Cinque Giornate, Corso di Porta Vittoria and just few steps from the most important Headquarters of the international fashion houses. It has a very large territory with common areas, study rooms, labs, common rooms, space for exhibitions.
In 2019 Accademia Costume & Moda became the best fashion school in the world as well as top 25 fashion schools in the world.
The university has academic projects industry collaborations with Giorgio Armani, Etro, Gucci, Valentino, Fendi, MaxMara and many other world-famous brands.
Accademia Costume & Moda graduates are in a high demand among employers. The average placement ratio for the last 7 academic years has been around 93% of the total student population.
