Description

The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is the largest university in the state. It is located on the bank of the Chena River. The main campus of the university is located at this place too, also there are 5 more public campuses and 6 centers around the world: Dillingham, Kotzebue, Bethel, Nome. Nowadays UAF is the state’s key research center in the field of higher education. According to U.S. News & World Report, in 2017, UAF became the only university in Alaska included in the list of “National Universities”. One of the most popular courses in UAF is Fishery. UAF campus has the necessary study equipment and excellent facilities so that students can relax and study comfortably: administrative buildings, residence-hall complexes, outdoor recreation area, gym, 1300-seat ice arena, assembly hall, swimming pool, library, conference rooms, recreation areas and much more. To organize students’ leisure activities, the university has about 100 associations and clubs related to creative, sports, intellectual and other activities.
