Montana State University is a public institution founded on 16 February 1893 as an agricultural college. At the time of its opening, it had five men and three women from Bowman Academy. The main campus of the university is located in Bozeman, Montana, which is the second largest university in the state. Montana State University offers applicants 51 undergraduate and 41 master’s degree programs divided into 140 departments.
Montana State University is the largest research organization in the state of Montana with an annual research expenditure of $230 million.
