University Lake School is a private K-12 school in the American Midwest. Established in 1958, the school serves kids of Wisconsin to become curious leaders, nurturing individuals with close relationships with teachers and the community. This is especially true when we look at the classes and grade sizes, being 6 and just under 300 respectively. Every kid can benefit from small class sizes: it is about teachers having a personalised approach and students easier integrating into their social environment, as well as bonding with peers. The school is located in a small rural town – Hartland, but that isn’t a negative, in fact, leaving the fast pace of life leaving big cities behind was the sole idea behind the building school in such a location. It allows teachers to spend time with students outdoors and students to have more freedom on their big campus. Academics play a significant role in the development of upcoming university students, for that reason University Lake School offers many rigorous academic courses like AP Calculus BC, Statistics or some of the many college level humanities classes offered. The learning process is fostered by field trips and a year-long project students complete by the end of the 12th grade – everything to make sure each student thoroughly understands their subject of interest and gains valuable knowledge and application skills. A variety of clubs are offered like STEM, Chess and Environmental clubs. In the admission process students are looked at as a whole individual making the process fair.
